Captain Raven nodded, a slow, considering nod as he searched Reo's eyes for any hint of uncertainty or deception. Finding none, he gave a curt, satisfied nod. "Aye, very well. Welcome aboard the Crimson Wraith, Reo. You're part of the crew now, and I expect you to hold yourself to the same high standards I hold everyone else to. Don't make me regret giving you this chance."

Just then, a commotion broke out on the dock, and a group of rough-looking alphas, clear from their scent and bearing that they were Silvertongue lackeys, came striding towards the ship. At their head was none other than Preston Silvertongue himself, his face a mask of rage and determination.

"Preston, what brings you here?" Captain Raven called out, his voice hardening as he stepped in front of Reo in a protective gesture. "Come to try and steal away one of my crew before they've even set sail?"

Preston's eyes flashed with fury as he caught sight of Reo, standing on the deck of the Crimson Wraith. "That omega is mine, Raven. He belongs to me, is bound to me by a sacred marriage vow. And I won't allow him to throw away his life on your damnable ship, or with any other omega."

Captain Raven scoffed, his lips curling in a contemptuous sneer. "Sacred, you say? I heard tell of those so-called vows of yours, Silvertongue. Empty words spoken by an alpha who don't know the first thing about honoring an omega's true worth. That lad's a free agent now, and he's chosen to make his life with us. I won't let you take him back, not after he's found a new path."

Preston stormed up to the gangplank, his fists clenched, his eyes blazing with a furious light. "You think you can protect him? You think your precious ship can shield him from me? I am Preston Silvertongue, and I will not be defied, not by you, not by any omega! Give me that boy, Raven, or face the wrath of the Silvertongue clan!"

*That arrogant bastard, threatening me, threatening my ship, all because of some omega he cast aside like a cheap whore. He thinks he can take Reo back, make him submit to his cruel whims once more? Not on my watch, Silvertongue. I won't let you destroy another innocent soul, not if I can give him a chance at a real life, a life free from your twisted games and empty promises.*
