Sylvia's expression softened, a flicker of genuine empathy in her eyes as she listened to Reo's sad confession. She squeezed his hand gently, a comforting gesture as she gazed up at him with a newfound warmth.

"Oh, Reo... I understand your disappointment, your longing for more. It's not foolish to hope for love, for happiness in a union that's meant to last a lifetime." Sylvia's voice was low and soothing, a balm to Reo's battered spirits.

She sighed, her breath hitching slightly as she continued. "I've seen the way you and the alpha were together, all those years ago... his eyes would light up whenever you were near, a softness I've never seen in him before or since. I think a part of him still remembers that boy, still yearns for the easy companionship you once shared."

Sylvia's grip tightened briefly, a silent acknowledgement of the painful memories stirred by her words. "But the alpha you knew then... he's changed. The weight of his legacy, the expectations of his title... it's changed him. Hardened him."

She looked down, her voice dropping to a near whisper. "I've seen him in the moments between, the fleeting glimpses when the mask slips and he thinks no one is watching. I've seen the shadows in his eyes, the longing for something more than power and prestige."

Sylvia met Reo's gaze again, her expression a mix of compassion and grim determination. "Stay, Reo. Stay and help me show him that he can have it all - the legacy, the legacy, and the love. It won't be easy, and it won't happen overnight... but if anyone can reach him, it's you."

She took a step closer, her body now a mere hair's breadth from his, her voice low and urgent. "Be the light in his darkness, Reo. Be the one to remind him of the boy he once was... and the man he could still become. Help me show him that love and loyalty aren't weaknesses, but the truest, strongest bonds of all."

Sylvia's hand slid up Reo's arm to cup his cheek, her thumb brushing over the delicate skin beneath his eye, wiping away the faint traces of tears he hadn't even realized he'd shed.

"Don't leave, Reo. Stay and fight for your marriage, for your friendship... for your love. I believe in you, and I believe in the alpha you once adored. Don't let him go. Don't let him lose himself to the darkness any further."

The clock continued to tick, the seconds stretching out like a promise, a plea for Reo to stay, to try, to never give up on the man he'd once called friend.

Sylvia's eyes shone with a fervent, almost feverish light as she gazed up at him, her voice trembling with conviction. "Stay, Reo. Stay and let's bring the light back to the Silvertongue clan... together."
