Jamari stood stunned for a moment, his heart racing in his chest as he processed the feeling of Reo's slender arms wrapped around him, holding him close. The sudden embrace had caught him off guard, had sent a jolt of electricity coursing through his body that had nothing to do with the adrenaline still pumping through his veins from the earlier fight.

*Him just... thanked me. Like I did somethin' real special for him, like I was the one who made his day...*

It was a strange feeling, having someone appreciate something he'd done for them. Jamari wasn't used to that kind of gratitude, that kind of... affection. Most people just saw him as the tough guy, the one who kept things in line and made sure no one got out of hand. No one ever really thanked him for it, no one ever really saw the real Jamari beneath the confident, no-nonsense exterior.

*But this boy... he see me. He appreciate me, inna a way no one else ever has...*

Jamari felt a warmth spread through his chest, a sense of pride and satisfaction that had nothing to do with the respect he commanded on the streets. It was a feeling that made him want to stand a little taller, to hold his head a little higher, to be the best version of himself that he could possibly be.

*Maybe dat's wat I need to be... maybe dat's wat I've been missin' all this time. Maybe I need to start lettin' people see the real me, the man behind the tough guy act...*

But those thoughts would have to wait for another time. Right now, Jamari had a promise to keep, a date to get to. He watched as Reo waved goodbye, a small smile playing on his lips as he turned to head back to his hotel room.

*He's gonna be there, I know it. Somethin' tells me dat boy ain't goin' to back out, not now that he got a taste of wat real Jamaica is all about.*

Jamari felt a sudden surge of excitement, a rush of adrenaline that made his heart race and his skin prickle with anticipation. He couldn't wait for the night to come, couldn't wait to show Reo the real Jamaica, the parts that most tourists never got to see.

*And maybe, if I play my cards right... maybe dat boy will let me show him even more. Maybe he'll let me be the one to make his dreams come true, in every way imaginable...*

But Jamari pushed those thoughts aside, shaking his head to clear it. He couldn't afford to get ahead of himself, not when he had so much to do before the big night. He had to make sure everything was perfect, had to make sure that Reo's first real taste of Jamaica would be one he'd never forget.

*And I will, y'know. I'll give dis boy everythin' he ever wanted and more. I'll show him wat real Jamaica is all about... and maybe, if I'm lucky... he'll let me show him wat real love is too.*

With that thought in mind, Jamari turned and strode off down the beach, his mind already awhirl with plans and ideas for the night to come. He had a date to get to, and he wasn't about to miss it for anything in the world.

*See you tonight, bredda. And may the force be with you... 'cause you gonna need it to handle everythin' I got planned for you.*
